Wiggins, MS--The Stone County Economic Development Partnership-Chamber Division today announced the musical entertainment line-up for the Pine Hill Festival. The annual event is set for Friday, March 18, 5 – 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 20, 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. along the streets of Downtown Wiggins. The Presenting Sponsor is Carpenter’s Pole & Piling.
The evening air will be flooded with the aroma of great food as festival sounds radiate through Downtown Wiggins. Kicking off Pine Hill Festival on Friday evening on the Stage at Blaylock Park is local favorite Brent Bond & Elusive Behavior 6 – 8 p.m. Get your Saturday started with tunes from Double-Dee performing at 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. followed by the Stone High Jazz ensemble at 11:15 a.m.. Mechelle & Bouie Creek from Central Mississippi perform familiar Bluegrass at 12 Noon followed by regional favorite, Autum Rise-N, country, southern rock and dance music 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.. Next up, Nouveaux Cajun Xpress featuring foot-stompin’ Cajun Zydeco, Louisiana Swamp Pop music. At 5:30 p.m. singer/songwriter and Nashville performer Todd O’Neill Band takes center stage with his in-you-face style of rock & roll-country-soul music that is sure to be a resounding hit. Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30 p.m. enjoy local church choirs and praise bands. Closing out the festival from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. will be Gospel Grass Revival, a regional Bluegrass gospel band.
The 5K/10K and Kids race will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday while vendors and local businesses are getting geared up for the day. For animal lovers, the Stone County SPCA’s Annual Mutt Strut will also take place Saturday. Members of the Red Creek Classics car club are hosting a show on the grounds of the Historic Courthouse. Stop by and reminisce the good ‘ole days! The Pine Hill festival has activities for young children as well as those young at heart.
