Mississippi's creative economy employs more than 60,000 people in job sectors ranging from design to culinary arts, museums and heritage. Most important, the concept is creating a buzz across the state and is generating excitement in small towns that now see new opportunities they may not have considered, new ways to generate, attract and keep jobs. Taking advantage of our county’s cultural and creative resources can both stimulate the local economy and lay the foundation for future growth and stability. Join us for the 2017 Creative Economy Workshop in Stone County! If you missed it, mark your calendar for February 2018 for this annual event.
The day-long “Building Creative Economy Assets” program is being hosted at the Community Arts Center on the Perkinston Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
We have an outstanding agenda for the day, speakers from across the state will share information on a variety of resources available to small communities. Representatives from MS Arts Commission, MS Main Street Assoc. and others will be in attendance.
