“Each year we welcome people from all over to participate in Cultivation Nation at beautiful Flint Creek
located here in Stone County,” said SCEDP Executive Director Betsy Rowell. “The SCEDP relies on the
generous assistance of local volunteers and we’re proud to once again partner with Stone County SPCA to
make this event successful. We will give a portion of the event proceeds to help with the cost of
maintaining the local shelter for homeless animals.”

Cultivation Nation is one of the largest annual events in Stone County each year, bringing in hundreds of
visitors and tax revenue to the local economy. “I hope that triathletes who race Cultivation Nation can
see how much our event team puts into providing an amazing race for everyone – from the beginner to the
most experienced,” said triathlete and Cultivation Nation Director Brandy Maulden. “We want every
person to come out and see the beautiful setting at Flint Creek and get a feel for this small town that has
big southern charm.”
